The Rotary Club of Estoi Palace International was very pleased to receive a return visit from Dom Duarte Pio, Duke of Bragança at their regular lunch meeting on 10 August. In recognition of the Duke having accepted honorary membership of the club he received a Rotary pin and club banner from Club President Kent Ringborn.
The Duke is a claimant to the throne of Portugal and had previously been guest of honour at a club fund raising dinner to aid Estoi Casa do Povo (House of the People). Today, the Rotary Club of Estoi Palace is an active and growing club involved in a number of projects to benefit the local community and further afield.
Weekly meetings take place at the Estoi Palace on Tuesdays, starting at 1pm where a good lunch, convivial conversation and club business combine to make an enjoyable experience.
